Free Market Math: How a 2.3 Cent Carbon Tax Raises Gas By 10 Cents A Litre!
Using the kind of 'unfettered free market' mathematics that are loved by Conservatives, and right wing Liberals, B.C. has raised the price of gas by 2.3 cents with a new 'carbon tax' which has resulted in the oil companies raising the price of gas by 10 cents a litre! (2.3 cents = 10 cents)
Why did the gas companies do this? Well, since the public is going to be ticked right off at B.C.'s Premier Campbell, why not go for it and grab a bit more for the pigs at the trough!
